I founded Jacaranda after walking two very personal paths; one as someone living with bipolar disorder, and the other as a professional working in mental health for 16 years.
I’ve had the chance to work with two big mental heath organisations. I started in early peer support and crisis response, helping people to navigate through challenging moments. From there, I contributed to housing programs, domestic and family violence (DFV) initiatives, and boarding house outreach services. Over time, I moved into leadership roles, including managing a safe space program and mental health outreach services.
I have lived and worked in communities from Central Sydney to the Far South Coast. That mix has shown me how different recovery can look depending on where someone’s from, their culture, their identity and their unique story.
Today, I have returned to where I began, and it’s been the happiest decision of my working life. Being out in the community, meeting each day as it comes, and supporting the lives I’m part of feels right. I bring together all my years of experience to support people in expressing what they need for their mental health.

I have been providing support to people with diverse experiences, strengths and challenges for over five years. My lived and work experience has been alongside people who are neurodivergent and those living with mental health challenges.
Sports and being active have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve found that sharing this with people I support opens another door for connection. I spend time with them in all sorts of ways. Sometimes it’s a quiet walk, just noticing little things that spark their interest. Other times, we head out—exploring new places, trying new activities, or getting involved in the community. I also enjoy helping out at home, whether that’s with day-to-day tasks, having a chat, or simply being there to help them live happily in their own home.
A quote that inspires my approach to both life and work:
“Don’t look at your feet to see if you’re doing it right. Just Dance”

My career in disability services began with the Department of Ageing, Disabilities and Home Care as a residential support worker. Over the next ten years, I worked on the front-line in many communities. That time was where I really learned about people, the realities of life, and what it means to truly understand someone. To see how much a little understanding and support can change someone’s world.
I’ve seen how trauma and mental health struggles can weigh people down, but I believe it doesn’t have to stay that way. I’m passionate about supporting people with kindness and understanding.
Balance is important to me. I love losing myself in a LEGO build, watching live music, cheering on the Parramatta Eels, or spending time on the water. I’m also drawn to the natural world — from reptiles to wildlife.
I enjoy taking part in the social and recreational activities at Jacaranda. They are a great way to connect with others, relax, and build a sense of community in a supportive, welcoming environment.
I am always happy to talk through my support work and answer any questions. You’re welcome to email me at admin@jccare.com.au, or book a time to connect by phone or in person.
