BIBI

Administration Assistant

Bibi has a diverse background in administrative roles.

With a strong focus in the areas of disability employment, Allied Health, and the NDIS. Bibi has gained a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by many people and strives to create opportunities that enhance services for participants, carers and others at Jacaranda Community Care.

Bibi has shared an interesting fact: Juggling life as a daughter, wife, and mum of 2 living on a sprawling 2.5 acre property with furry (and feathered!) friends keeps me connected to nature and my adventurous spirit.

Catherine

Disability Support Services

Catherine brings over 5 years of experience providing Disability Support Services to individuals and families across communities in Western Sydney. Catherine has been assisting participants with living with ADHD, Autism, and mental health conditions.

Catherine is deeply committed to inclusivity and has always found a special place in the heart of her community, offering compassion and respect to everyone she meets. Catherine strives to bring out the best in people, helping them live fulfilling, empowered lives.

A quote that guides Catherine's approach to life and work is:

"Don’t look at your feet to see if you’re doing it right. Just dance."

At Jacaranda Community Care, we believe everyone deserves the chance to live a good life, no matter the challenges they face. Our founder, Tanya Fogarty, started JCC because of her own journey with mental health. Tanya’s dream was to create a place where people could find both professional help and real, caring connections.

Our story

Hi, I’m Tanya, the founder of Jacaranda Community Care. I’ve been working in the mental health sector for over a decade and during that time, I’ve been in frontline roles in community mental health services, housing initiatives and family support programs. I’ve had the chance to lead teams, work with the NDIS, and develop peer support programs that created positive change.

My journey didn’t start there. Throughout my life there has been adversity and I share my story - as a journey of hope, connection, healing and personal empowerment.

Jacaranda Community Care was born from my belief that everyone deserves to feel supported and understood. Within our community we are a caring haven that inspires and uplifts one another to live the best version of our own lives.

Today, my living experience continues through my work at Jacaranda Community Care and as a passionate advocate for mental health awareness.

Our mission

To inspire, recognise and empower the greatest possibilities in all of us.

Looking forward

Our dream is to take JCC’s services to more places, especially to regional and remote communities. We also hope to create places where people can come for longer-term support and healing.

At Jacaranda Community Care, we believe in a future where everyone can thrive and have equal access to opportunities. We want to make sure people feel safe and supported to get the help they need. Together, we can make tomorrow better for everyone.

joshua

Marketing Manager

Joshua has over 5 years of experience in marketing and sales. Previously working at Microsoft, he has led digital marketing campaigns, events, and more.

Given his background, Joshua is heavily invested in growing businesses through technology. He is an avid tech and AI enthusiast, actively applying these tools here at Jacaranda Community Care (JCC).

Joshua works closely with the participants and staff of the JCC community to promote mental health awareness through innovative campaigns, ensuring their voices are heard and their stories inspire change.

A fun fact about Joshua is that he believes the universe operates off natural laws, such as “for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” To him, this means that you must go through “hard” to get to “easy”.

Charlene

Community Champion

Charlene is an ally and supporter of promoting physical activity programs.

We have welcomed Charlene to work alongside us with community development and supporting our peer led groups and events. Most recently, participants who have a love of cycling are inviting others to join for a fun and social experience, with some pedal power.
